Ohio! (post 2)

I left my Aunt's to go visit some dear friends in Springfield. I first met the Cornman's in New Zealand in 2005. They were travelling with the Men's choir, and I was with the Women's choir. The first time I met Sue, we were at a sheep farm visiting the big cow. She loves cows, and we started talking. I immediately fell in love with her. She is super sweet, loves the Lord with all her heart, and has been a tremendous encouragement to me the last 5 years. Thanks so much for letting me come and visit Sue. I had an incredible time, and can't wait to come back and check out more of the "Springfield sights" with you. :)

"Our first meeting-May, 2005"

Dr. Cornman works at Cedarville University now, so Sue took me there one morning to see the campus, and Dr. Cornman showed us around. It is a BEAUTIFUL campus. (It made me want to go there actually!)

We went blueberry picking at a local farm. It was so fun pickin' these blue berries! They were huge, and we enjoyed them later on.

I loved this!

With our loot. (aka yummy-ness!)
We visited these guys who will soon be sold at the 4-H fair. They were ginormous!

We made homemade strawberry ice cream! Sue picked the Strawberries, and then we made the ice cream.

Getting thick!

Yummah!

The finished product! (topped w/those blueberries!)

Enjoying the evening. (in my pajamas!)

Love these two!

I decided to stop at the Columbus Zoo on the way home. I love Jack Hanna, and this is his zoo. I was hopin' he would be there, but not this time. I do want to go back. It's small, but I love that they have feeding times of many of their animals that you can attend and be apart of. It's so cool!

They have a boat ride you can take through some of the enclosures. It would have been more fun with people in it, but I enjoyed the silence and awe of God's beauty around me.

The Animals!

This guy was being fed. (a bit gross, but he's gotta eat, right?)

Beautiful..and to think that those patterns are all different from each other. I'm just in awe of my Heavenly Father.

These guys are smelly!

All in line, waiting for the fish.
There we go!

I love frogs!
ok, these guys were the absolute best to watch! They made me crack up. First off, they are so weird looking! Second, it's fun to see what they will do.
The gal on the left was eating those leaves. And the big guy wanted it.
So they talked about it.
And talked about it.

And then she shared. But I don't think she got her way. Clearly she is unhappy about it.

Now the other one is contemplating how to get it from him.
And then they were fed. And she was given popsicles that she enjoyed. :)
The polar bears are actually fed live fish. It's fun to watch them attack and dive after them.

Jess! These are super photos! Sadly, the blueberries are all gone. I wanted to take Tom back to pick some more, but the heat made them ripen very quickly. We so enjoyed your visit! Your photos also make me want to visit the Columbus Zoo. :)
