Naughty Dog

So Willow has definitely become apart of this family. She has been doing well, however she was naughty yesterday. Willow has toys. Her breeder included a pink bear that she loved when she got here.
On Sunday, Ella and I were out walking with her, and we found this. A beaver head. Willow LOVED it. And once it thawed out, it became annoying cute when it began to squeak. Willow jumps and pounces and goes after this little guy all the time.

Today however, was different. She decided to have it out with this.
REALLY????
Why me and not your family??
Thanks Willow--good thing you are cute, you naughty dog.

Whooo had fun today?? We did!

Every Thursday, Hannah has a couple friends over and Ella leads a Bible Study for them. They will either bake or make a craft together as well, and Elle asked me to lead that this week. I love to bake, so I decided to make cupcakes with them.

As the cupcakes baked, Ella led the girls in their study. These tweens are totally into technology--kindles and nooks. :)
Once they finished, we began the decorating and had a BLAST!

Bronwyn with her finished products--SOOO cute!
They were each told they could eat one, and they had to share the rest with their families.
Ella and I enjoyed one as well. :)
Some more of the finished products-they were SOOO cute!

I love OWLS, and was so glad to make these with the girls. We had a wonderful time together!

Love day 2012

So this is the 3rd V-day celebrating with the Embrees-I was so excited when I knew I would be here! The Embrees don't give gifts to each other at Christmas, instead using V-day to do that. I love the concept of showing your love for one-another, and celebrating God's love for us this day. The big family gift this year was Willow.

The kids had voice/piano lessons, so we took Willow to Elle's friends house, and went on a walk together. It was gorgeous and beautiful outside!

We then took the kids to P.E. and took advantage of the few hours we had to ourselves to go out for lunch (Thai food!) and talk. It was so wonderful to share with each other what is on our hearts. We also did a bit of thrifting before getting the kids and heading back home to open presents.

Look who we found in the drivers seat! :)
We got home and the kiddos were excited to open their presents-the fun began!

I had found a new canon lens at a thrift store, and so that was their gift to me--along with the amazing opportunity to come up here for a month and be with them-I'm so blessed!

Hope you had an enjoyable LOVE day celebrating one-another and the love of our Amazing God!

A Lovely Friendship!

I have a very few close friends that I share life with--one of those is Ella. And because she posted a sweet post here about me, I thought I should do the same. :)

I first met Elle in 2008--over the internet of all things!  I was going to S. Africa to work with her and her family, and we had 3 weeks of corresponding and learning about each other before we would spend 6 weeks together. It was a rough go at first, but God used it to mold us and bond us in a way I never could have imagined.

We have been through a lot together since then--we've shared the joys, the sorrows, the hardships and trials. I'm so incredibly grateful to the Lord for bringing us together and continuing to grow our friendship--even through the 5,000 miles that seperate us now. And like she said, we are sisters. I too, have always wanted a sister, and Elle is the closest I have had to that--we get into tiffs like any other sisters, but we love each other dearly. She has and continues to be a godly example in my life, and I am so thankful for her passion for Jesus!

I also can't express my love enough about her amazing family!
You have brought so much joy into my life Elle--Happy Love Day my friend!

What a whirlwind!

I left Monday morning for the train station and arrived in Chicago around 5 pm. I am thankful beyond words for the way God orchestrated all the logistics. From the girls I stayed with who I didn't know, to my friend Mandy giving me a ride to the airport--what a blessing it was. I was also able to go to the first session of Founders week! I sat with some WCC'ers, and had a great time of worship with them.

I arrived at the airport this morning, and got settled into my seat after taking the dog to the special bagging area. They needed to inspect the crate, and then I went through security. The flight was good, and we arrived 45 minutes early.

James and Elle arrived about 15 minutes after I got to baggage claim. I then introduced Willow to her mommy, and it was love at first sight.

We then went to the Anchorage overlook, and got some shots--it was BEAUTIFUL!!

We then went and got the kids, and they were so excited to see me and meet their new puppy. I'll try and upload the video to that soon. :)

Excited to be here!
