Praising Him today!

I'm rejoicing today that my friend is now home from the hospital after an 11 day stay. Please pray for Donna whenever you think of it. She has a long way to go, and starts a new chemo this Tuesday. Pray that it will work fast on her liver, and that the side effects won't be too strenuous. Donna was my 6th grade teacher (way back in the day) and tops the list as one of the best. :) I love her dearly, and love even more that she loves Jesus with all her heart and continually praises and thanks Him despite what she has been & continues to go through. (this is her 3rd bout with cancer) I look forward to hopefully seeing her before I leave for Africa. Please check out her blog for updates and ways to pray for Donna and her family. www.sdreharvey.blogspot.com

I'm uplifting the Harvey's today! Thank you Jesus!

Rachel, this picture is for you! :)

New Year's in Petoskey!

I was able to go up to Petoskey for 5 days to spend time with my BFF. We had a wonderful time together, and I just love being with her. Yes, we have disagreements, and yes, we get on each others nerves, but that is what best friends are supposed to do, right?? lol! I've known Dominique for 15 years, and when I look back to everything we have done and accomplished, it just amazes me. One of these days, I'm going to put a slideshow together of all our years and memories together, although I would probably need hours to do that! :) I enjoy her. I enjoy being around her. And I miss her dearly, and wish that we lived closer. Hopefully the next time I see her, she'll be visiting me in AFRICA and we'll be able to celebrate our 30th birthday's together. Wouldn't that be amazing? hint-hint! I love ya girl!

December

Here are some pictures from December. I am so behind in blogging these days. Christmas was pretty blah this year. For the first time, I didn't spend it with extended family. My brother and his girlfriend couldn't make it either, so it was just me and the parents. My mom made a very nice meal, and we went to the movies. I did have a great Christmas with the Grady's, the family I nanny for. They are so good to me, and I just enjoy being with them so very much. I'll be posting about New Year's in the next couple days, so look forward to that. Hope your Christmas was enjoyable and fun. ~Jess
