Zoo w/ Bronwyn!

I took Bron to the Zoo yesterday, as the older kids had a birthday party at an amusement park. Bronwyn always asks if we can go to the Zoo (we did this last year) so I decided this would be the perfect day. Well, the weather wasn't perfect, but the day was. :) We had a blast together. If you could only hear her comments...they crack me up!

Our new friend! :)

Watchin' the crocs....lovin' Bron's expression!
She told me she needed to put lipstick on for the animals.
I saw this a lot.....

Dog Show!

So Ella wanted to take the dogs to a dog show last weekend. We piled up the kids, (they had 2 friends over) the dogs, and drove both cars, since Kenai takes up about 3 spots. We convinced Bronwyn to enter the look-a-like contest with Denali, and they were so cute! I painted both their nails, although Nali didn't really care for it. There wasn't much there...and the contest was 3 hours from the point we first arrived....thankfully, they had a jumping castle and dunk tank for the kids to play in, which kept them busy the whole time. (It was VERY hot!) They had 3 contests going on, and Ella and Bronwyn both ended up winning first place. Brony for the look-a-like and Ella for the "best trained!" (hilarious) They both won a bag of treats, and a big bag of dog food. Bronwyn was so cute showing off Nali!

Palmridge Church

Last Sunday, we visited Eric and Latina's church. James was asked to preach, and so we all went out there. I love visiting with them, and being at their church. As you can see, they don't have much. It's basically just walls, aluminum, and plastic chairs. But they love Jesus, and it's a delight to worship/sing/dance with the precious people in this township. We ate dinner with E and L afterwards, before heading back home.
Love this little guys spiderman backpack Doll baby! LOVED her!

Lord, thank you for the work you are doing through Eric and Latina. Continue to provide and bless them in mighty ways for YOUR glory.

5k!

I told myself I would never become a runner...mostly because I hated it. Every aspect of it. And I wanted nothing to do with it. Well, I started running with Ella and Lee-ann in the mornings a little over a month ago, and have really been enjoying it. Unfortunetly, I've been plagued with injuries....back spasms, muscle cramps, and everything in-between. I was determined to run my first race though, and on March 6th, I did just that. However, I was only able to run a little of the way before I was in too much pain from my muscle having a hay day within my body. I was happy to have completed it, and am looking forward to another one...hopefully on the 5th of April. I've been to the physio and chiropractor, and have an appt. with a biokineticist on Tuesday to help with a plan. My prayer is that I'll be able to run everyday with my friends before I leave, and do this race before I go home. Kenai also participated in his first race with Elle, a 10k, and he was the star of the race. People either love him, or are scared to death of him. It's so funny watching everyone's reactions to this massive dog.

go away pain!

*******update*******
Went to the doc....he seems to think it's nothing serious, but thinks I'm straining it when I excercise....so, I have to go see a biokineticist. Yep, that. He gave me an anti-inflammatory to take, and gave me an injection. And if the pain doesn't go away, I'll go for x-rays in a couple weeks. So, on Tuesday, I find out my fate about working out. Pray that they say I can RUN!! :)

I've been having back issues for about a month now. I've been to the physiotherapist 3 times and a chiropractor twice. (she told me Monday I couldn't run/workout for 10 days-ugh!) Tomorrow I will go to the doctor and hopefully get some answers. The pain comes and goes...sometimes very intense, and other times....I just feel it there, although it isn't debilitating...thank you Lord. I also feel things moving around, which GROSSES me out to no end. They say it's fluids and inflammation. This definitely makes me think of others who have debilitating or terminal health issues, which opens my eyes to praying for them more. I want more than anything to be back to running and working out, as I only have a month left with my 2 gals who encourage me so very much. Please pray that tomorrow will bring good news, but whatever the outcome...I'm trusting Him, as hard as that is when you feel so crummy at times.
