Little joys!
On Tuesday, I had surgery on the other side of my mouth. After the one on the other side a month ago, I was anticipating this pain to be horrific and awful like last month. I have a pretty high tolerance for pain, but that was just so intense...the recovery ended up being 10 days, and I have to admit, I was not looking forward to this one. However, by the grace of God, this one was a night and day difference. My friend took me and we got my painkillers on the way home. I kept waiting and waiting for the pain, knowing it would be coming about 3 hours after surgery. The 4th hour went by, then the 5th and 6th, and I was just in awe. I had almost no pain at all! Between the ice to keep the swelling down, and the vicodin I took, I was pretty drowsy. I went to bed, and had one of the BEST dreams ever. I dreamt that I was back in Africa, having reunions with the people I love most. There was a lot of hugging and smiling and tears, and I was soaking up every moment I could. And then reality hit--I woke up. I must say that I was pretty bummed to find out I was still in my bed, but that dream sure made my heart happy, and I'm so thankful the Lord allowed it! :)

That is beautiful Jess. Last night my kids prayed for me before they went to bed. (for the first time). They prayed for a good night sleep and no bad dreams. Funny, I haven't dreamt in awhile. But, last night I did have a good dream and slept all night without Willow waking me up. I love sleep. Glad you are better.
