I told myself I would never become a runner...mostly because I hated it. Every aspect of it. And I wanted nothing to do with it. Well, I started running with Ella and Lee-ann in the mornings a little over a month ago, and have really been enjoying it. Unfortunetly, I've been plagued with injuries....back spasms, muscle cramps, and everything in-between. I was determined to run my first race though, and on March 6th, I did just that. However, I was only able to run a little of the way before I was in too much pain from my muscle having a hay day within my body. I was happy to have completed it, and am looking forward to another one...hopefully on the 5th of April. I've been to the physio and chiropractor, and have an appt. with a biokineticist on Tuesday to help with a plan. My prayer is that I'll be able to run everyday with my friends before I leave, and do this race before I go home. Kenai also participated in his first race with Elle, a 10k, and he was the star of the race. People either love him, or are scared to death of him. It's so funny watching everyone's reactions to this massive dog.
